Tyre Pressure

Sounds simple but ensuring you have the correct tyre pressure is an important part of bike maintenance.

The easiest way to make your cycling harder than necessary is to ride with your tyres under pressure.

Tyre pressure reduces on bikes within one month and we see quite a few bikes come into our shop with as little as 20psi in their tyres. Not only is this making hard work for the rider but the handling can be compromised and also the tyre will wear out far quicker too.

Always inflate your tyres to the max pressure written on the side of the tyre and check this once every month. Write it on the calendar at home, 1st of every month check bicycle tyre pressures.
